Moral Skepticism - Walter Sinnott-Armstrong - Google Books

I disagree that nihilism is the cause for the Donner Party activity.  A conscious and conscientious person would surely avoid moving across the Sierra at certain times of the year because of the very problem they encountered.  A person or group of people who lacked consciousness would have difficulties in making an intelligent decision about crossing at a time that might cause their deaths.  After learning of the little Ice Age and doing a little math I decided they were subjected to unconscious content in the mind and set out like some may have during the Little Ice Age, in an attempt to survive.  I mentioned this before.  Our family came here in the 1650’s.  If you subtract the number of years we have been here in the US from this number, you would get a time period around that of the Little Ice Age, now prior to it.   I had episodes of behaviors similar to these and discovered it was a 1901 novel about the Donner Party.  I discovered BF Skinner after that and now am clear verbal behavior was the cause of the problem, that is, people talking on these issues.  When some hear this kind of conversation they starting tossing off these problems in fear.
