…I have created some programming to aid in preventing some of this kind of acting out. In some instances it is very general and some of the dialogue directs attention to this issue and that acting out poor behaviors could cause serious consequences. It teaches me about my brain and how it works and the importance of positive input. If the problems are severe medications that block neuronal activity in the cortex are best as they break up these re-enforcement of negative behaviors, sometimes referred to as down-regulating synaptic activity. In the case of something like a Chic Fil A coke, it is very difficult because the behavior is so easily re-enforced by people drinking out of white cups which could be most anything, even water. I resorted to drawing a white cup and putting water on it in red to stop the problem. I’ve spent over $20 in one month drinking those things.

I think George Nasser was Leonid Vasiliev and this guy is an actor who was in Late Date I blogged yesterday. - Games appear to be segments of larger, more complex sets of transactions called scripts. Scripts belong in the realm of transference phenomena, that is, they are derivatives, or more precisely, adaptations, of infantile reactions and experiences. But a script does not deal with a mere transference reaction or transference situation; it is an attempt to repeat in derivative form a whole transference drama, often split up into acts, exactly like the theatrical scripts which are intuitive artistic derivatives of these primal dramas of childhood. Operationally, a script is a complex set of transactions, by nature recurrent, but not necessarily recurring, since a complete performance may require a whole lifetime.
Extinction or extinguishing behavior…
Extinction is caused by the lack of any consequence following a behavior. When a behavior is inconsequential (i.e., producing neither favorable nor unfavorable consequences) it will occur less frequently. When a previously reinforced behavior is no longer reinforced with either positive or negative reinforcement, it leads to a decline (extinction) in that behavior.
Acting out may extinguish some poor behaviors created by the television… updated
…but it will also extinguish positive behaviors if they are acted out as well, unless they are reintegrated through the person’s brain. Any accompanying dialogue should be a reinforcement of the positive behavior as opposed to that we find in many films and television episodes. It should be like reparenting a brain injured person. Vacuuming at the mall is not my idea of reparenting positive behaviors, nor is exposing one to loud ceiling A/C vents on behavioral units with cement floors and inappropriate foot covering.
