Hendrick Krock

Hendrick Krock (21 July 1671 – 18 November 1738) was a Danish history painter who, from 1706, was the court painter of Frederick IV as well as his successor Christian VI. Along with Benoit Le Coffre set the tone for history painting in Denmark during the 18th century-1720s, having been influenced by the Italian baroque painting he experienced during his travels. …they hoisted the cap on the pyramid with hemp from the outside by placing it inside and tying it so it could be hoisted from the opening outside the pyramid.  All four sides were constructed concurrently until they reached the peak of the pyramid. They constructed steps on the outside of the pyramid from extra stones and walked the top up to the peak.

Unmitaged disaster

We purchased a variety of Teva sandal models for a 15 day trip down the Grand Canyon. We wore them around the house and yard for a few weeks to break them in. The very first day in the canyon they started falling apart - the soles delaminated and I spent hours of precious canyon time trying to glue them using shoo goo, aqua seal and gorilla glue. Nothing held more than a couple days. Finally we duct taped them as best we could and hoped we didn't kill ourselves on the hikes by slipping on the duct taped soles. Another customer on the trip also had her Tevas delaminate (we had the spider rubber inserts, she had a full rubber sole). The guides previously had bad experiences with Teva and wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole.

Teva knew these sandals were crap, and sold them anyway instead of recalling them. I bought some of the original Teva sandals 20 years ago, but will never buy their product again.

If we'd start this engine now...
...the vibration will put unnecessary
strain on the whole structure.
Furthermore, there are only
seven cartridges in the Coffman starter.
It could take four or five
to start the engine...
...leaving us only with two or three
when we are ready to depart.
I imagine even you will understand that
once we have used all seven cartridges...
...we have no further means
of starting this engine.
Any doubt about starting this engine,
now is the time to find out.
