I think this is confusing the brain with the mind. a man who has weighed beans or nails for years can pick up a handful and tell you how much they weigh. A man who has built things for years can tell by sight how long a piece of wood is…I have done this frequently. My aunt’s family owned a store and sold bulk items. My Uncle developed a nack for knowing how much something weighed and I was able to do this when buying bulk items here where I live…
The rationale here presumably
is that mental model theory offers a
spatial hypothesis, and anecdotal neuropsychological
evidence suggests that spatial processing
occurs in the right hemisphere.
For example, we know some
brain regions are involved in processing
language and other regions process visual
spatial information.
…and according to Dali it can really get mixed up and confused, not so much by our brains as by our social behavior and entanglements.
