…back in more ancient times, men had longer hair and when they had sex they cut their hair shorter to signify they were having sexual encounters…women started wearing long hair because they saw their husbands with long hair but it was because of a lack of barbers, cutting hair was a problem and I think in order to get back their youth they invented wigs…I think it’s possible ladies of the night were confused with hair cutting but it did denote they had had a sexual encounter, they were no longer on the path to sexual purity or holiness denoted by longer hair. So long hair on a man denoted chastity.
